If you intend to use a stroller to transport your child for many years, it should do more than simply get them from A to B. Strollers multiply just like rabbits, and having one that is able to manage all of your family's trips is a smart investment.

Three-wheelers are a great option for strollers that are lightweight but can still handle some more rugged terrain. The Thule Shine was a past winner in this category. It's more expensive than our other picks however, it's a solid choice and has plenty of options (car seat compatibility! Dual cup holders! This makes it a worthwhile purchase. Plus, it folds small enough to fit inside an overhead bin of an airplane which makes it a great option for families that frequently travel.

Senior Review Editor Wendy Schmitz has been reviewing strollers and other baby equipment for more than two years. She along with our product testing team test each stroller by pushing, running, folding and lifting them to assess their performance, comfort and usability. They're all moms as well, so they know how important a good stroller is in everyday life and for family outings. The BOB Sport Utility

The BOB Sport utility is the best stroller to choose if you want to get off the beaten path and get some exercise. This jogging stroller comes with pneumatic knobby wheels that are perfect for running trails, and a handbrake that lets you to control the downhills. It also comes with a state of the-art suspension system, a two-step folding, and a huge cargo basket. If you buy the correct adapters, you can use it with a child car seat.

The main flaw of this jogging stroller is its weight and dimensions when folded. It weighs 25 pounds and folds down to 17,850 cubic inches, which is about average for this class of strollers. Its large footprint means it's not ideal for tight turns or narrow trunk spaces, though it has a handle at the rear of the basket that can be pulled to fold it into an upright, compact position.

Despite its bulk, this stroller remains easy to maneuver. The front wheel is equipped with a locking mechanism, which lets you switch from normal to locked running mode. The handlebar can be adjusted to accommodate different heights for parents. It has a wide seat that can be retracted to nearly flat, and a large vinyl peekaboo window.

The Sport Utility also scored a 9/10 for its outstanding quality. It features a sturdy frame made of aluminum with strong connections, no rough edges and no sloppy stitching.  4 wheel all terrain pushchair  has adjustable dampers, which aid in smooth rolling performance.

Like the other BOB strollers reviewed in this review, the Sport Utility has optional car seat adapters that let you use it with various infant car seats. It took us 5:24 minutes during our tests to put together the stroller from unpacking it to getting it ready to go. It was easy enough to complete, however you'll require a Philips head screwdriver to complete the task. The included manual is clear and well-organized, however it's still a good idea to have one on hand in the case.

The Baby Trend Expedition

Designed with style, safety features and convenience in mind, this jogger comes with an adult tray with two cup holders, a covered storage and a swing away tray for the child that includes two cup holders. The adjustable canopy that has a peek-a-boo window and the extra-wide ergonomically shaped handle provide comfort for both parents. The lockable front swivel wheel can be locked for jogging and unlocked for strolling. The large storage basket can hold essential travel items.

In the Strollers test program of Consumer Reports, the Baby Trend Expedition Jogger is a good performer overall for the price, and scores higher than many of its competitors in a variety of categories. This includes the ease of using the 5-point harness that folds and unfolds, adjusting the backrest, activating the brakes on the wheel and infant car seat removal and installation (only for compatible models). It has a simple design, with a single-handed recline that's deep enough for napping. The canopy cover that has the ratcheting mechanism can be difficult. It takes around 8 minutes to put it in place. The instructions are confusing, with several languages mixed in with difficult-to-read illustrations.

The only downside for this jogger is its absence of suspension. This means that the ride will be more bumpy than other strollers that are all-terrain. This could cause discomfort for children, particularly when they're on the verge of a nap. It does have tires that are filled with air however they don't offer the same amount of shock absorption like the rubber wheels that are found on strollers that are more expensive.

This is an excellent option for those who don't exercise frequently but want to be able to easily move over gravel or grass without worrying about obstructions like curbs or other obstacles. It's also a great option for families with limited space as it folds into an extremely compact unit. It is lighter than many of the other joggers we have tested and can fit into places where large strollers aren't able to.

It's also easier to lift and move than the bulkier joggers that we've test. This is important if it's something you lift out and into your trunk frequently or if you're always on the move.

The Nipper Sport V4

If you're looking for the best jogger for any terrain look no further than the Nipper Sport V4. This new version of Out 'n' About's 3-wheeled running stroller is made for jogging and comes with large pneumatic alloy tyres with a 16-inch diameter that can tackle even the most challenging tracks and paths. The Nipper is also lightweight and compact, making it simple to fold and transport.

This pushchair is equipped with a handlebar and front suspension, which makes it ideal for all types of terrain. It comes with a removable quilted liner and multi-position recline, as well a 5-point safety harness that is padded and a hinged bar. It also works with travel systems, meaning you can use it with a Cybex Maxi-Cosi or Be-Safe baby car seat.

Another great characteristic of this buggy is the large front wheel, which can help ensure a smooth ride for your child. This is particularly important when tackling difficult terrain because it allows the buggy to better track and glide more easily over bumps and dips. Nipper Sport is easy to drive and has one pedal brake. The handlebar has an ergonomic design and a single-pedal easy-lock brake that can be adjusted to suit your needs. The buggy is also easy to fold, with clear step-by-step directions and photos in the user's manual.

The Nipper Sport is designed for children aged up to six months. It can be used by a baby thanks to the integrated insert. However, it isn't recommended for use with babies younger than six months, because the harness of the seat isn't secure enough to ensure their safety.

This pushchair also lacks a storage basket underneath the seat. The small shopping bag that is located at the back of seat is not large enough to accommodate a larger changing bag. It is extremely easy to unfold and close, with only two hand-holds needed to release the plastic catches that are on either side of the lower frame. There is a third lock catch on the handlebar in red that can be loosened by one hand, making it extremely convenient to use.
